When I first heard about DOGE, it was clear to me that it wasn’t about cutting costs or efficiency in government, but rather about a complete reform through artificial intelligence. The Atlantic is only showing the tip of the iceberg. I’ve often said, “Data is the new oil.” AI doesn’t require humans to work, thus creating the “wage destruction” paradigm that Marc Andreessen recently discussed. While human value is declining, AI and its owners are reaping the benefits of the data it collects.
This is yet another sign that technocracy is gaining ground. Back in 1976, the Trilateral Commission, led by President Carter, took control and restructured the global economic system into the New International Economic Order. This change was irreversible—and DOGE is now the final step. Once the AI invasion is complete, the workforce will be destroyed and America will be ruled by algorithms. The damage to freedom and independence will be irreversible.
It’s tragic that America is ignoring this clear danger. Not that they haven’t been warned. – Patrick Wood, editor.
The new phase of the president’s and the Department of Government Efficiency’s government overhaul is already underway. The goal: Generative AI will replace human labor in public services.
The Trump administration is testing a new AI chatbot with 1,500 employees at the General Services Administration (GSA). It could be rolled out to the entire agency as early as Friday, allowing it to be used by more than 10,000 employees who manage more than $100 billion in contracts and services. This article is based on confidential interviews with current and former GSA employees, as well as internal documents and GitHub source code for the software.
The GSA chatbot, officially billed as a “productivity enhancer,” is part of a larger plan by DOGE and its allies. Thomas Shedd, a former Tesla engineer and new director of Technology Transformation Services (TTS), told an internal meeting that the government is moving to an “AI-first” strategy. Despite the decline of federal agencies, the programs remain in place — an opportunity for AI to flourish. He spoke of “coding agents,” AI programs that write and deploy code. Artificial intelligence can analyze contracts and automate government financial functions.
A small technology team within the GSA called 10x began developing the program under President Joe Biden — initially as a test bed for AI. But with the arrival of Elon Musk, development accelerated massively. Tens of thousands of federal employees have been laid off or resigned since then.
The “GSA Chat” chatbot was promoted internally as a tool for automating tasks: writing emails, coding, analyzing data. The goal: AI will eventually be rolled out to all government agencies under the name “AI.gov.”
A GSA employee said the chatbot could later be used to plan workforce reductions or query central databases containing federal information.
DOGE spokespeople declined to comment. The White House referred to the GSA, which simply stated that it was reviewing IT resources to maximize efficiency.
The use of AI to analyze data and make decisions about job losses in government agencies is highly controversial. Reports suggest that the DOGE plans to use AI to decide which government employees to lay off.
The State Department plans to use AI to monitor the social media activity of student visa holders and revoke their visas if they are deemed to be supporters of terrorism.
The hasty introduction of generative AI carries enormous risks:
- AI models are error-prone, often biased, and expensive
- Injecting government data into AI systems poses security risks
- Incorrect detection of fraud could lead to massively erroneous decisions
- Ahead of the 2024 election, the GSA partnered with Google to test AI. Other departments, such as Homeland Security, Health, and
- Veterans Affairs, have experimented with OpenAI and Google tools.
But Biden put in place clear AI safety guidelines. Trump overturned them on his first day in office.
Now, DOGE and the Trump administration seem determined to use the entire federal government as an AI sandbox—with more than 340 million Americans as guinea pigs.
