At the beginning of the 20th century, the frozen Arctic glaciers belonged among the most mysterious areas and, at the same time, the fascinating natural phenomena. After over a hundred years of research, they are used as evidence of frequent changes and impacts of climatic conditions.

The Swedish photojournalist Christian Åslund, who collaborates with the Greenpeace, has managed to collect some glacier pictures and compared them with photos taken on the same sites since 2002. The visible differences are unbelievable. Photo series is now being used by National Geographic to promote the campaign “MyClimateAction”, which initiates a worldwide debate regarding climate changes and serves as a protest action against the Norwegian oil companies.
